Vodafone in no hurry to deploy next generation mobile technology
The current mobile technology for Vodafone group is doing well and the company is in no hurry to roll out the next generation, which is being developed and is expected to be deployed only after a long period , may be at after two or three years.Vodafone expressed its desire at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that the company would wait for long term evolution. The telecom giant has already invested largely in the current mobile technology that ensures mobile internet speeds up to 14.4 mb/sec. The Vodafone group announced that it will start trials of HSDPA+ which is designed to double that speed of mobile internet.
Long term evolution is being developed to allow much faster download speeds which will ultimately enable services like HDTV on mobiles and other demanding services associated mobile internet technology.
